This role is GM of a member based NFP organisation. This organisation is part of a global network focused on an entrepreneurial community that empowers business growth, personal development and community engagement. The GM reports to the Board and delivers both to the Board and to the Membership.

The key focusses of this role will be, but not limited to:

  •      Working with the President and Board to implement strategic and operational priorities to time, quality and budget. Supporting individual Board members, with particular focus on placing members in to right fit forums, overseeing induction & integration

  •    Creating and sustaining a right-fit high quality membership base that matches the desired demographics and agreed profile

  • Progressing the market leading position of the business through member insight, customer service, innovation and delivery of chapter events (including Christmas party, retreat etc)

  •      Fostering a personalised journey for members by being their key point of contact and overseeing their needs and contribution

  •      Undertaking relationship check-ins with members to identify key needs and contribution areas

  • Supporting Learning & Connections to facilitate insights for tailored learning experiences to meet common needs, peer matching for problem solving/technical learning amongst Chapter members, and external mentoring opportunities

  • Budgeting for the Chapter in conjunction with the Finance Chair. Managing expenditure against budget, managing cash flow, and managing the audit process and the renewal finances. Ensuring that member funds are used wisely and that due diligence is employed in any contractual undertaking.

  • Overseeing international member experience (when visiting Sydney)

  • Liaising with global and regional management and representing at key forums

  • Managing key collaborations and partnerships once developed

  • Managing the events manager and administrator

  •      Strong management skills and  project management skills including the ability to think ahead, run multi faceted projects simultaneously, problem solve & the ability and persistence to drive change

  •      Strong self-drive and motivation. Comfortable working autonomously but also inclusively with stakeholders 

  •      Personable with strong interpersonal communication skills 

  •      Strong commercial acumen including, budgeting and financial management      

  • The ability to think big, coupled with attention to detail

  • Written communication skills     

  • Computer literate

  •    Some experience of event/function/experience planning
